Oliver Townend riding Carousel Quest was the winner of the 2009 Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials helping him to secure the No1 position in the HSBC FEI Classics Standings. The event has grown in popularity over the years and 2010 will see the 50th Anniversary of the Horse Trials to be staged between 2nd – 5th September. Thursday and Friday are the Dressage Days, testing the training of the horse, Saturday offers the thrill of the Cross Country and the event concludes with Show Jumping on Sunday.
The glass fronted marquee, complete with private gardens, offers superb views of Burghley House and is a short stroll from the famous ‘shopping mall’ where over 300 top quality retail outlets are found. The Main Arena is also close by where guests are allocated prime covered grandstand seats equipped with headsets for expert commentary on the various disciplines.
