Description

The Shirley Centre is a Multi use Community Centre. All the rooms available for hire are located on the ground floor and have disabled access.

There is ample off road parking, both in a service road in front of the building and the centre’s car park at the rear. The rooms are accessed from a foyer.

The main hall is of an ‘open plan’ layout which can accommodate 190 to 250 people depending on the seating layout. The hall is equipped with a large kitchen with work surfaces, a gas cooker and two warming ovens. There is also a raised stage approx 20 feet wide and 16 feet deep equipped with a basic sound system and a 12 channel lighting system.

The centre has a fully licensed bar adjacent to the main hall with a lounge area. In addition to the main hall the centre has two meeting rooms, which can accommodate approx 40 people each. These rooms can be opened up to form a large single room that can hold 80 people. Close to these rooms there is a kitchenette suitable for making hot drinks.
