Zen China’s culinary focus is Beijing, with the signature roast duck served as two courses: first the chef carves crispy skin & tender meat at table for eating with pancakes, while the rest of the bird is stir-fried & reappears later in lettuce wraps. The lengthy menu also offers regional classics ranging from five-spice marinated beef slices & grilled dumplings to wok-fried crab with salted egg yolk.
Lofty prices reflect the South Bank location, although wines are affordable, service is thoroughly welcoming & presentation is elegant.
