Birmingham venue attracts nearly 10,000 visitors to RWM show

The Recycling and Waste Management (RWM) exhibition was more popular than ever in 2009, marking the fifth consecutive year of growth for the show.

More visitors than ever turned up to one of Birmingham's most famous venues, the NEC, with exhibitors also at an all-time high.

The RWM attracted 9,781 visitors, who were able to browse over 500 stands, according to official statistics published by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).

In addition, the show's international audience grew by nine per cent, while decision-maker level attendance was up by more than ten per cent.

"The ABC audit and the feedback from our visitors justify RWM's reputation as the environmental sector's premier event and explain why over 70 per cent of stand space for this year's show has already been booked," said event director Gerry Sherwood.

Meanwhile, Google's product specialist Gilli Goodman has been confirmed as one of the keynote speakers at the Technology for Marketing & Advertising conference.
