The Camberwell Arms is a pub and restaurant at 65 Camberwell Church Street in Camberwell. Its light-filled upstairs dining room has a private bar and is available for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties, networking events and other private meals. A limited number of exclusive hires of the entire pub are also offered each year.

Spaces and capacities

• Upstairs private dining room: 50 guests for a seated meal or up to 65 for post-meal drinks and dancing.
• Full venue hire: 110 guests for a seated meal across both floors, comprising 60 downstairs and 50 upstairs.
• Full venue evening reception: up to 120 standing downstairs or 70 standing upstairs, depending on the chosen party layout.
• Intimate full-hire arrangement: a meal for 50 upstairs, followed by an evening party for up to 120 guests in total.

Facilities

• Private bar in the upstairs dining room.
• Seasonal feasting menus served on sharing platters.
• Vegetarian, vegan and most other dietary requirements catered for with advance notice.
• Dedicated sound system in the private room, with playlists played through the venue’s device or connected by auxiliary cable.
• Linen and table flowers included with full private-room hire; tealights are also included for evening bookings.
• Bespoke menus available for full venue hires.
• Private-room bar service available as an open bar, limited tab or pay-as-you-go arrangement.
• Wine may be brought in subject to corkage and prior agreement; other outside food and drink are not normally permitted.

Hire availability

The private room is available for lunch from noon to 5pm, for dinner from 6pm until 11pm or midnight depending on the day, or for full-day hire. Lunch is unavailable on Mondays and the room is not offered on Sundays. Minimum spends apply, with an additional room-hire fee for Saturday bookings. DJs, decks and live music are not permitted for private-room hires, although third-party DJs or additional equipment may be arranged for exclusive hire of the whole pub. Full venue hires are offered on a limited number of dates each year.

The Camberwell Arms combines a genuinely private dining space with restaurant-led food and its own bar, while full venue hire allows larger wedding receptions and parties to use both floors.
