Westminster conference and events venue, 1 Wimpole St (formerly One Wimpole Street), has unveiled a new brand identity, marking the completion of a 10-year investment programme for its events facilities.
Branding agency D.Vision Create was hired in July 2012 after a pitching process with several agencies and commissioned to redesign the brand identity in-line with the core strengths of 1 Wimpole St. With every brand touch-point considered, clients can expect to see everything from signage to notepads and website to brochures, brought in-line with the new brand identity.
Creative Director at D.Vision Create, Jonathan Davis, commented: “The challenge for us was reflecting the modernity of its offering in unison with its historic surrounding.”
Since launching as a commercial brand at Confex 2007, 1 Wimpole St has seen its revenues rise by 50 per cent. Nigel Collett, Director at 1 Wimpole St, said: “Since 2003, over £12m has been spent on creating some of the best conference and event spaces in Central London, and we needed a strong identity to carry that.”
The venue, home to The Royal Society of Medicine, will be the host of the next Conference Question Time (CQT), on 26 September.
The core topic for the third CQT will be Meetings Industry Tradeshows: are they delivering what is needed? The first confirmed panellists include Square Meal’s Venues & Events Live’s Show Director, Graham Hill, and IMEX Chief Executive Officer, Carina Bauer. The host for the evening will be the Vice-Chair of the Business Visitors and Events Partnership (BVEP) and Paradise Experiment Founder, Richard Foulkes.
