Accor opens flagship ‘New Generation’ novotel in Paddington, London

Transforming the West London skyline, the Accor hotel group is opening its flagship 4-star New Generation Novotel in Paddington at the end of September. The New Generation Novotels are style-led, urban hotels which have been designed to appeal to business and leisure travellers alike.

The hotel’s striking exterior of gold, copper and bronze has brought Paddington to life and perfectly matches the contemporary and spacious interior; which with its high ceilings and warm colourings provides a calm oasis for all visitors. The design of the hotel also incorporates environmental considerations. The partially grass roof is not only aesthetically pleasing but also reduces waste water and encourages the natural habitat of local wildlife. Also, the use of ground source and air source pumps will mean that 10% of the hotel’s energy consumption will come from renewable energy resources.

Enviably located next to Paddington station, guests staying at Novotel London Paddington have the best of both worlds; Heathrow airport is just 15 minutes away on the Heathrow Express and good tube links means that discovering London’s iconic monuments is made easy.

After a hard day of meetings or sightseeing, each of the 206 en-suite ‘Novation’ bedrooms (including three suites) aims to be a sanctuary for travellers featuring the latest technology with high speed internet and WiFi, in-room entertainment and in some rooms a bath that is strategically positioned with a view of the television.

The Novotel ‘New Generation’ concept also extends to food and drink at Novotel London Paddington. Elements bar and restaurant combined with room service give the guest the ultimate in choice. With dishes that come in taster, starter and main course sizes, guests eat what they want, where they want, when they want and how much they want. For business travellers or those who prefer to simply dine alone, there are single pods with flat screen TVs to keep diners entertained or there’s 24/7 room service. Guests can also relax in the hotel’s leisure suite which includes a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym.

For conference delegates, the hotel has 8 meeting rooms, including two boardrooms and maximum capacity is 140.

Karelle Lamouche, the marketing manager of Novotel hotels commented; “The opening of Novotel London Paddington extends our already substantial presence in London. The brand now has a network of nine hotels across the capital from east to west and, in total, 30 hotels across the UK. This state-of-the-art hotel with its spectacular façade is a ‘flagship’ New Generation Novotel and is in an ideal location for both business and leisure travellers.”
