In just a few short months, the first part of the eagerly anticipated Rockliffe Hall Hotel, golf and spa resort will be opening in its doors.
The stunning new five-star development, set in the picturesque village of Hurworth, near Darlington will commence its golf operations from July, including the opening of a brand new 18,000sq ft clubhouse.
As with the rest of the development, the clubhouse has been designed with supreme comfort, luxury and convenience in mind for discerning guests and visitors alike. The clubhouse will offer great home-cooked and locally sourced favourites from its menu and also offers the opportunity for lunch, dinner or breakfast meetings to be held in the relaxed surrounds of the spikes bar, or in the private rooms which are available on request.
The clubhouse, which sits separately from the rest of the development, has been luxuriously fitted out and offers stunning views back down the closing holes and the rest of the course. It has been completed with a grass-topped roof, making it almost invisible from the rear of Rockliffe Hall.
The rest of the development, including the old hall and spa facilities, will be open later in the year.
The old 18th Century country house itself has been painstakingly restored to its former glories, and finished with stunning and contemporary touches, including Rockliffe Hall’s fine dining restaurant, offering the finest in five-star dining. The original grandeur of the Old Hall offers a number of private meeting or dining rooms, ensuring absolute discretion where necessary.
Beyond the Old Hall sits the new extension, which has been sympathetically created to complement the existing buildings. In it sits a number of new, large bedrooms, a 50,000 sq ft spa and fitness facility and Rockliffe Hall’s banqueting and conferencing rooms.
In keeping with the rest of the development the banqueting and conference facilities will be completed to the highest specification. The main banqueting suite, with its own private entrance, will be able to accommodate up to 200 guests in comfortable luxury. A full and dedicated team, specifically tasked with creating bespoke functions, events, conferences and weddings, will be on hand full-time to ensure every event is unforgettable.
Wendy Benson, sales and marketing director at Rockliffe Hall says: “Rockliffe Hall is going to reshape the common perception of conferences or events in the North East. We’re leaving no stone unturned in offering facilities, a location and a service that is five-star in every sense.”
