A Telford woman has been promoted to the board of directors at a leading Midlands events group.
Catherine Watson is the human resources manager for Southwater Event Group, which owns The International Centre, Telford.
And now, she has been made a director of the Group, which also owns the Holiday Inn, The International Hotel, and Grays Hotel in the town.
“I am very proud to have been promoted to the board, and I’m looking forward to the challenges my new role will bring,” said Catherine.
“I initially began my Southwater Event Group career as the HR manager for The International Centre, and I have since taken on responsibility for HR across the entire Group.
“To be given the opportunity to join the board of directors is an excellent chance to play an important role in developing Southwater Event Group’s business strategies for the future.”
Catherine has previously worked for Celestica UK, the Learning & Skills Council, and Booker Cash & Carry where she had responsibility for 28 sites across the Midlands and Wales.
