Conference venue location change for biofuels event

The European Bioenergy Expo & Conference (EBEC) will take place in a different conference venue this year, over three days in early October.

Organising body Biofuels Media has announced that having spent three years at the Newark Showground, the conference will shift to Warwickshire's Stoneleigh Park in the Midlands.

The organisers explained that the new event venue offered better accessibility due to the proximity to the airport in Birmingham, while Stoneleigh generally offered better facilities which were appropriate to an expanding exhibition.

Richard Price, managing director of Biofuels Media, said on the conference's website: "Visitors, conference attendees and exhibitors across the whole bioenergy sector can learn about the latest market innovations, trends, future projections and legislation environments all in one place."

Conference stands will be available to exhibitors at a reduced price in a bid to encourage more people to attend the event.

Stoneleigh Park spans 250 acres and also hosts the Royal Show every year which is one of the biggest regional farming events.
