The shortlist for the AEO Excellence Awards 2008 has been announced. Of the 41 shortlisted companies, three are leading the charge. CMP Information notches up an incredible 12 shortlisted entries, while Melville is named six times and EC&O Venues has five nominations. Excel London, the British Marine Federation, Stanco/Opex and Delaware North for Wembley Stadium also make multiple appearances in the shortlist.
The judging panel of representatives from across the industry gathered on Wednesday 2 April to review the entries and decide who will take the prizes at the awards ceremony on 4 June at Earls Court 2. There were a number of new categories, and several others had been refreshed, all of which led to an increase in the overall number of entries this year.
"Many of the judges commented on how much they enjoyed the judging process," said AEO director Hilary Lawson. "The panel takes their responsibility very seriously and the judging provoked much debate this year. Congratulations to all those shortlisted, the competition was fierce and all the nominated entries have done really well."
The winners of the 2008 AEO Excellence Awards will be announced on 4 June, hosted by EC&O Venues in Earls Court 2.
