Mash Media's Event Production Show (EPS), the annual meeting place for everyone involved in the events industry, has been selected as a finalist in the AEO Excellence Awards 2013.
The EPS has been recognised in the Best Tradeshow Exhibition under 2,000sqm category.
“The entire team worked tirelessly to make the show a resounding success,” said EPS event director Duncan Siegle. “To receive industry recognition in our first year is remarkable. We now have a fantastic platform to develop and grow the 2014 show, which will move to Earls Court.
“Winning the AEO Excellence Award would reflect the amazing achievement of turning around the fortunes of an ailing show and making it a resounding success.”
The show’s first outing under new ownership saw visitor numbers rise by 14 per cent. The show, held on 5 and 6 February at Olympia, drew 3,332 unique visitors.
Mash Media is also sponsoring the coveted Sustainability Award at the event, which will be held on 21 June at Old Billingsgate, London. Finalists in this category include Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Fresh Montgomery, GES, Manchester Central, Messe Frankfurt, Reed Travel Exhibitions (EIBTM), and The NEC.
