The recent sold-out AEO Excellence Awards for the events industry saw a number of companies win, with ExCel London being given the Venue of the Year gong.
London's Hilton on Park Lane hotel was the host for the event, which sold out around four weeks before Friday's gathering, with firms being honoured in a total of 20 categories, reports Event Magazine.
The Excellence Award, presented by AEO's chairman Philip Soar, was given to the Top Gear Live Tour by Brand Events.
Other winners included Venue Team of the Year for the Magic Circle Headquarters, Best Trade Launch Show for Counter Terror Expo this year, the source reported.
Grand Designs Live London was given the Best Consumer Show Over 2,000 m2 award after attracting over 100,000 visitors across ten days.
Before the event, Adam Clark, director of the AEO awards from Beyond Media Services, said: "The atmosphere will be electric with a room heaving with some of the very best suppliers, venues and organisers around."
This year was the 15th for the awards, with Austen Hawkins, interim director of the AEO, saying the industry's reaction to them this year was "fantastic".
