A planning application for a major new development including a five-star hotel in County Tipperary has been filed.
If built, the venue will offer corporate visitors attending conferences access to a golf course, a casino and a National Hunt racecourse.
The site will be called the Tipperary Venue and cover a total area of 800 acres close to the village of Two-Mile-Borris.
Michael Lowry TD has described the scheme as "the most sophisticated and ambitious project that Ireland has ever seen", with the 460 million (£412 million) scheme including a White House replica.
When complete, the Irish Times reports it will include 500 bedrooms and will also have an underground entertainment centre that could hold a total of 15,000 people.
In other news, Principal Hayley Hotels and Conference Venues has recently completed a £7 million refurbishment of the New Connaught Rooms, a historic site based in Covent Garden.
