The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) is one of the venues which will play host to next month's Magners International Comedy Festival.
In total, around 450 shows will take place in 50 Glasgow venues, a spokesman for Glasgow City Marketing Bureau revealed.
He noted that the festival has helped "catapult the city onto the map" as a destination for top entertainment, he said.
The festival will include stand up and sketch comedy shows, as well as theatre productions, musicals and operas.
As well as the event taking place at the SECC, he said there are a number of smaller pub and club venues that are worth "checking out".
Glasgow's brewery - West Brewery on Glasgow Green – will play host to a "selection of comics as part of the 'Comedy Out West' shows as well as solo stand-up shows", he noted.
The festival begins on March 17th and will run for 25 days.
