Harrogate venue gears up for Small Animal Show

Preparations are already underway to get ready for next year's Burgess Premiere Small Animal Show at the Yorkshire Event Centre, it has been announced.

The Harrogate venue will play host to the event, which will feature around 3,000 rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, mice and rats, from January 29th to 30th 2011.

Previously called the Bradford Excel Small Animal Show, the event has been renamed and is continuing its partnership with Burgess Pet Care, which has provided a five-year six-figure support deal for the showcase.

Mr Burgess, president of the show and chairman of Burgess, said: "Our Small Animal Show is a festival for people who are passionate about animals and we are looking forward to attracting even more visitors, competitors and exhibitors to next year's event."

Show director Michael Fox added that the event is expected to attract 5,000 visitors over its two days.

The Yorkshire Event Centre will also play host to Countryside Live, the Ice Cream Alliance Exhibition and the Toy Collectors Fair over the coming months.
