Pavilions of Harrowgate and the Yorkshire Event Centre are to be showcased at the upcoming Event UK, to be held at the NEC in Birmingham.
Harrogateadvertiser.net reports that owner Yorkshire Event Centre Limited is looking to use the Birmingham venue as a way of publicising the conference resources offered by its two facilities. The NEC offers 200,000 square metres of exhibition space and holds over 160 separate events a year, attended by over two million people. The popularity and national recognition of the Birmingham venue makes it ideal for businesses seeking publicity.
The venue is also being subjected to a £40 million renovation, with NEC Group moving its offices to within the building itself to allow improved communication between staff and clients. The renovations should lead to an even higher number of visitors, and by extension a larger potential customer base for firms such as Yorkshire Event Centre Limited.
The company will be looking to attract businesses seeking specially-designed conference facilities in a bid to boost Harrogate's local economy.
