Leicester Conferences at the University of Leicester is pleased to announce their nomination as one of the finalists at the 2012 Meetings and Incentive Travel (M&IT) Industry Awards. Amongst tough competition from many UK conference venues they have made the final selection within the ‘Best Academic Venue’ and ‘Best Value for Money Conference Venue’ award categories.
Meetings and Incentive Travel magazine holds the M&IT Industry Awards annually and are the oldest and most prestigious meetings industry awards in the UK. This year’s award ceremony will take place on 5th March at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, London.
The M&IT Industry Awards are based solely on the number of votes received from conference organisers and readers of M&IT Magazine for each award category and attract many entries from venues all over the UK.
Trevor Miller, Conference Sales and Marketing Manager for Leicester Conferences comments: “Each year the University hosts over 2000 events and welcomes delegates and guests from all over the world to our venues in Leicester and Oadby.
"We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the awards, particularly as they are based on support from our customers. In a very competitive market our aims were to provide value for money and to emphasise the benefits of a convenient and easy to reach central location. To be rewarded with this seal of approval from our customers is a great achievement and I would like to thank all those who voted for us.”
