The London headquarters of the International Coffee Organisation (ICO) is to benefit from improved audio quality after the instillation of a state-of-the-art conferencing system from Brahler ICS UK.
The capital venue, which is among the premier UK locations of Cavendish Conference Venues, opted to install the new technology so as to allow delegates to benefit from real-time audio feedback, with 87 separate microphones all connected to a central system making use of cutting-edge CDSVAN software.
The microphones automatically activate once a delegate begins to speak, with what is said name-tagged and recorded on to an MP3 file, thereby allowing for more efficient transcription at the end of a conference.
Will Robertson, sales manager at Brahler, explained: "Sound quality was of great importance to the ICO as the previous system, whilst having served faithfully for many years, needed to be replaced. Seating over 250 delegates and ensuring they all have access to crystal-clear interpretation is no easy task, but fortunately our CDSVAN system lent itself extremely well to this project."
Plans are also in place for the venue to be fitted with improved video-conferencing facilities, with the cameras to be synchronised with the audio technology to allow for a complete sound and vision package for delegates.
