Premier Inn is promising visitors to its 1 Leicester Square hotel an even better night's sleep, thanks to the introduction of floating bedrooms.
According to the hotel chain, the London venue's 84 bedrooms will float on top of thick engineered neoprene pads.
The will block out the noise from the square and nightclub below, helping guests sleep well.
Each room is being built within an independent box, meaning there is no contact with a neighbouring room or hallway.
Patrick Dempsey, Whitbread managing director, said: "Our floating bedroom is a major innovation in hotel design and means we can now bring Premier Inn to fantastic locations such as Leicester Square and to other sites where outside noise could be an issue."
The rooms have been designed by a team of acoustic engineers, architects and construction specialists.
Last month, Premier Inn venues in London celebrated the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton with special duvet covers.
