National Motorcycle Museum completes £30,000 redevelopment

Birmingham event venue, The National Motorcycle Museum has completed a £30,000 redevelopment of its Wardroom Suite. This is just part of the venues ongoing investment which will see over £650,000 spent across its three properties this year.

Fully refurbished and air conditioned, the Wardroom Suite now comes complete with high speed Wi-Fi, hi-definition 60” TV and built in LCD screen and projector.

The museum is prospering as one of the Midlands' premier event venues. The seven months of anniversary celebrations this year have seen footfall at the museum rise by 40%, with conference business up by approximately 10%.

With continued investment at the venue and across the city, including High Speed 2 rail links to London, Birmingham and its local hubs, such as Solihull, will continue to position themselves at the forefront of the conference and meetings sector across the UK and internationally.

The National Motorcycle Museum is one of the country’s most unique and versatile event facilities. It houses a collection of over 1,000 classic British motorcycles, spanning 60 golden years of Britain's motorcycle manufacturing industry. It is a unique conference centre with 13 event spaces ranging in size from 20 to 1,200. To date the venue has held approximately 1,200 events and welcomes over 200,000 delegates per year.

Nick Hartland, director of the National Motorcycle Museum, commented: “The museum has seen huge investment and developments over the years which have transformed the venue significantly and enhanced our M&E facilities and current portfolio. The infrastructure improvements set to come about through HS2 will further grow our catchment and appeal to event organisers and delegates across the UK, and hopefully lead to an even more successful 30 years.”

The National Motorcycle Museum lies at the hub of Britain’s motorway network, minutes from the NEC, Birmingham International Airport and train station making it one of the UK’s most accessible event facilities – which in turn helps over 250,000 visitors enjoy the venue each year.
