National Events Month October (#NEMO) will come to a close at the end of this week following a focus on the Corporate Hospitality and Incentive Travel sector. The two sectors represent a £2.4bn industry which includes iconic UK events, such as Ascot, The Chelsea Flower Show, and most recently The Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.
Corporate hospitality is a great way to develop loyalty, create new business and ensure lasting relationships with key customers. Travel incentives have become a successful way for businesses to motivate and reward employees, while also maintaining strong client relationship. This industry alone generates £1.2bn a year, including motivational travel programmes arranged in the UK by UK companies as well as inbound international organisations looking to use the UK as an exciting and rewarding destination for their incentive programmes.
Providing the perfect backdrop for the celebration of corporate hospitality and incentive travel events, is the NFL's return visit to London. The NFL's International Series Games are taking place at Wembley in October and November. The NFL has become a spectacular occasion for US and UK companies to enjoy world class sporting entertainment. The event hosts millions of tourists and businesses that participate in this international event.
As a fitting finale to National Events Month, a Celebration Event will be taking place on the 27th October at the Museum of London, where the Sherlock Holmes exhibition is being staged until April 2015. The event will be attended by Tourism Minister Helen Grant and will highlight the success of #NEMO and the contribution made by its supporters and participants.
