New shows on their way to Telford

Bosses at The International Centre, Telford, have confirmed their business is continuing to grow, despite the tough economic climate.

The venue, which is part of the Southwater Event Group, has announced three new shows will be held there in 2010.

In January, Tattoo Freeze will take place, which is a new tattoo convention showcasing some of the world’s best tattoo artists. Later that month, another new show, Farm & More will take over the centre’s exhibition halls.

And in February, Movers & Storers – the only national exhibition for the removals, storage and self-storage industries in the UK – will relocate to Telford from the NEC.

Southwater Event Group Chief Executive Tom Gray said: “We’re absolutely delighted that these three shows have confirmed they’ll be coming to Telford next year, especially given the difficult financial climate at the moment.

“It’s great news to see event organisers showing their faith in our venue and our facilities, and we’re particularly pleased to be hosting two of the shows for their inaugural events.”

As well as The International Centre, the Southwater Event Group is made up of The Holiday Inn, The International Hotel, and Grays Hotel.

It offers 47 meeting rooms, and 341 bedrooms and its reputation as a venue that delivers high quality service at competitive rates is spreading.

“We have an excellent reputation for hosting large-scale conferences and exhibitions for hundreds of delegates, but we can also accommodate business meetings and events on a much smaller scale,” said Tom.

“The flexibility of the space we have available and the close proximity of our hotels to the exhibition halls is proving to be a real winning formula with event organisers.

“They know that the levels of customer service they receive will be consistent across the group – the excellent standards set at the International Centre are exactly the same as at our three hotels.”
