Newick Park Hotel – Tales From The Walled Garden

Newick Park Hotel are very excited to announce that they have cultivated a walled garden on the estate and it looks amazing. Many guests have already commented on how beautiful it is looking and with all the summer flowers and micro herbs popping up, it is all looking very pretty indeed.

The new Head Gardener brilliantly named Whitney Hedges is looking after the garden. She has put many ideas into practice which includes growing flowers for the restaurant, creating beds specifically to interest the local bees and wildlife, herbs, fruit and vegetables for the brigade of chefs to use on their menu as well as looking after a handful of goslings that should be fat and happy by the time the winter months come in and the hotel is able to add them to the menu too!

Just walking up to the walled garden in itself is a treat as you are welcomed by a collection of Royal Ferns and stunning plants as well as a Dell Garden.

If you are interested in visiting the hotel and sampling some of the wonderful and tasty ingredients from the garden then please contact Angela who will organise a tour for you with the lovely Whitney herself.
