Royal Highland Centre has ''''size and accessibility''''

The Royal Highland Centre has been chosen for a major event due to its size and accessibility, it has been claimed.

Marlene Cunningham, event director for Eventrix Scotland, said that the 8,000 sq m building is equipped to stage the Scottish Home Improvement and Self Build show.

She said: "[There are] not many in Scotland of that size. It is very, very central. Sixty per cent can actually travel geographically within an hour''''s drive."

Ms Cunningham added that the 2009 event is looking to attract as many as 8,000 visitors.

She went on to say that there has been strong interest from exhibitors this year, with many firms realising that they need to be pro-active and "meet their customers face-to-face", which can be achieved through events held in venues such as the Royal Highland Centre.

The exhibition and conference takes place on October 4th and 5th and is now in its fourth year.ADNFCR-1752-ID-19208390-ADNFCR
