Sodexo looked after royal wedding troops at London venue

Some 1,700 troops at Wellington Barracks who took part in the royal wedding celebrations were fed by onsite service solutions provider Sodexo.

At the London venue, the company ensured the troops were well fed before they lined the streets of the city on Prince William and Kate Middleton's big day.

The company also fed 360 members of the forces at Hyde Park Barracks, who later went on to parade on horseback.

Soldiers on duty at the Royal Guardrooms at both Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace were also looked after by Sodexo.

Alan Staples, Sodexo defence contract director, said it was fantastic for the company to be involved with such a high-profile event.

"Although it was additional work for the teams, they worked hard to provide the troops with the very best service," he added.

William and Kate, who are now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, were married on April 29th at Westminster Abbey.  ADNFCR-1752-ID-800528123-ADNFCR
