Stoke Mandeville Stadium invests £50,000 in community leisure

In a bid to get more people from Aylesbury more active, more often, Stoke Mandeville Stadium is investing £50,000, which will see the birthplace of the Paralympic movement extended.

The investment will allow Stoke Mandeville Stadium to offer more local people more choice and more reasons to exercise. An additional 22 pieces of plate loaded equipment will be installed into the 120 station gym along with Livestrong Spin Bikes and Crank Cycles to help increase class participation.

Ian Seabrook, Business Development and Marketing Manager at Stoke Mandeville Stadium said: “This investment is great news for members and the local community alike. We will be installing the latest fitness equipment and hosting the latest classes. The new bikes look and feel fantastic and will give our members the best possible experience.”

The gym will be closed on Friday 17th August in order for the new equipment to be installed and will re-open the following day – Saturday 18th August.
