Waterloo event venue, The Deck at the National Theatre, has announced that it will host a second pop-up restaurant next summer, from 5th to 8th August, following the success of this year's pop-up.
The pop-up restaurant, Teatro de Alimentos, treated diners to a celebration of the varied and vibrant flavours of Spain on the 6th and 7th August 2013. Guests were served a six-course menu and welcomed to The Deck’s terrace with the sounds of the Spanish guitar and a flute of bubbly. The Deck's Thames-facing terrace offered awe-inspiring panoramic views of the London skyline while guests dined.
The National Theatre’s executive sous chef Ricardo Menta, who created the menu, offered guests an insight into the creative process behind producing the complex menu.
The food was matched with Spanish wines and beers selected by The Deck’s supplier Jascots, who also conducted a tutorial throughout the event.
