The Meetings Show and new industry association EVCOM have announced a partnership which is designed to raise the event’s profile and benefit members and attendees.
The partnership will see the two organisations working more closely together over the coming months, delivering access to EVCOM’s high profile members for The Meetings Show, whilst EVCOM will benefit from increased profile through their association.
Steve Knight, Event Director, The Meetings Show commented on the partnership: “The merger and subsequent rebranding of Eventia-IVCA to EVCOM makes it more relevant than ever to The Meetings Show, our exhibitors, hosted buyers and visitors. As one of the industry’s leading associations, EVCOM brings together the perfect balance of suppliers and buyers to create a heavyweight voice for advocacy and change across the industry. Leading members of the association are continually striving to improve the standing of the meetings and events industry and we are delighted to be aligning The Meetings Show with such well known and well respected individuals.”
Dale Parmenter, EVCOM Chairman, added: “The Meetings Show is growing fast and demonstrating incredible value to the UK meetings industry. It is the ideal platform for EVCOM to communicate its industry leading position, raise its profile and continue our work lobbying for change and improvements that support a more professional industry. We welcome The Meetings Show on board as a partner to EVCOM and look forward to the growth of our relationship.”
The Meetings Show is organised by Centaur Exhibitions and will take place on 8-10 July at Olympia London. The show is a major event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry and is focused around a large exhibition, networking opportunities and professional education.
EVCOM is created from two highly successful associations – eventia representing the live event world, and IVCA representing the visual communication sector. The association is comprised of a wide variety of leading professionals, agencies, freelancers, destinations, production companies and suppliers.
