The first of the masterclass series held by London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) has been rated a success by all those that took part. The half-day seminars give in-depth knowledge and hands-on tips to event organisers on various topics associated with the organisation of successful and powerful conferences.
Presented by The QEIICC's in-house audio-visual (AV) team, Interface, the first masterclass not only addressed how best to engage with an audience, but also how to use AV technology to present a message in the most powerful way. At the end of the masterclass there was also the opportunity to pose questions to the Centre's AV specialists and QEIICC staff, experienced in live conference presentations.
The masterclass highlighted best practices for getting the most out of your presentation. Guest speakers included Bob Etherington, managing director of SpokenWord Ltd, a leading international training provider of effective business presentation skills, advanced presentation skills, speech writing and presentation design.
Sue Etherington, international sales manager at The QEIICC, said: "As London's most prestigious purpose built centre for professional meetings and events, the Centre is committed to offering the best possible service to its clients. These masterclasses provide organisers with the tools to create their most successful and powerful events yet."
Future masterclasses at The QEIICC are planned to cover topics such as event management, new event technologies and catering for conferences.
