The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) to host shOUT

The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) is to host shOUT, a brand new show aimed predominantly at the gay lifestyle market and the first of its kind to be held in the UK.

The show, taking place 19 – 20 March 2011, is organised by Glasgow based Haswells Events Ltd, with tickets being sold through SECC’s on-line box office, ticketSOUP.com®.

It is hoped the show will bring in over 7,000 consumers, who can expect a weekend of fun with live music and comedy acts, an on-site cocktail bar and a wide range of products and services all aimed at the pink pound.

David Chick, Director of Haswells Events Ltd comments; “We are thrilled to be launching the inaugural shOUT event here in Glasgow. We feel the City is ready for an event of this kind and having previously exhibited at the SECC, we know as a venue it offers consumers and exhibitors alike the best location and facilities.”

Ben Goedegebuure, Director of Sales, SECC commented; “Attracting this unique launch event is a fantastic achievement for the City and us as a venue.

“We have been working closely with shOUT organisers to ensure the event is a success and hope to attract this event and others back in future by continuing to deliver excellent customer service and client support.”

GCMB Chief Executive Scott Taylor added: “Being the first city in the UK to host shOUT is testament to GCMB, SECC, hotels and industry partners working together to achieve business success for Glasgow.”
