Committee Room

With the names of key figures in Central Library’s history scribed on the heritage panelled walls; you’ll become engrossed and inspired by this magnificent room.

The balance of open space and original features creates a truly unique backdrop for any event; accommodating up to 40 people for a drinks reception or 22 guests for a private dinner or boardroom meeting. Tables and chairs can be rearranged and visual equipment and blackout can be provided so you can screen videos.

Meeting Rooms 1, 2 and 3

Natural light bathes these rooms through the curved wall of original feature windows. The epitome of classic architecture combined with contemporary design; Meeting Rooms 1, 2 and 3 are entirely adaptable to suit your event and can be booked individually or combined.

The rooms are able to accommodate between 24 and 30 people as a boardroom, between 40 and 48 guests for banqueting or between 60 and 80 people for a drinks reception. Tables and chairs can be rearranged or removed, and visual equipment and blackout can be provided so you can screen videos.

Reception Room

Find privacy in one of Manchester’s most iconic public spaces amid this inspirational and intimate room. Ideal for board meetings, dinners for up to 14, or receptions for up to 40; the panelled walls and original heritage furniture create a strikingly grand setting, superior to any other in the city.

A designated welcome area is also available with hire of this impressive space.

Chief Librarian's Office

The most distinctive of all rooms at Central Library, and possibly the most exclusive meeting space in Manchester; the Chief Librarian's Office is steeped in heritage, bathed in natural light and offers breath-taking city centre views; providing an entirely unique surround to suit your intimate business meeting or private dinner for up to 18, or reception for up to 30.

Hire of this room comes with a designated welcome area, tables and chairs can be rearranged and audio and visual equipment and blackout are provided.
