The Society’s newest venue is a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse on one of the New Town’s main thoroughfares, handy for those visiting, living or working in the city centre.
Queen Street houses are renowned for their magnificent views across the waters of the Firth of Forth. No 28 is no exception and its suites of elegant rooms range over three floors reached by a sweeping staircase which ascends to a cupola framed by exquisite plasterwork. The top floor is given over to two very comfortable members’ flats.
It’s the perfect place to retreat to, away from the hustle and bustle and an ideal base from which to explore Scotland’s historic capital city. It’s also the perfect place to meet friends and colleagues for a coffee or a wee dram, to bring guests to dine in style or to host a soirée or conference that will not easily be forgotten.
