Hard Days Night Hotel Concierge Kris Kay Awarded Golden Keys

Sep 19, 2012 | Blog

The concierge at one of the North West’s top hotels has been awarded the prestigious Golden Keys.

Kris Kay, who is a member of Les Clef d’Or, is the third member of the concierge team at Hard Days Night Hotel to be given the accolade, which is designed to promote friendship between members so that they are better able to assist international travellers and tourists.

The 29-year-old, who is originally from Inverness but grew up in Fife, has worked at the hotel for the past two years and his role includes helping guests when making restaurant bookings, recommending places to visit on their trip and arranging tours and transportation. He had previously worked for the Radisson hotel group for five years.

He said: “I am delighted to be awarded the Golden Keys as it is the best form of recognition for the hard work that I have given to my role since I started. It was a great honour for me to attend the presentation in London were I was given my keys by the President of the Society.”

The Society of the Golden Keys was formed in Great Britain in 1952, and today there are approximately 260 members in the UK that wear the Golden Keys.

General Manager of Hard Days Night Hotel Mike Dewey said: “We are delighted that Kris has been given this award and it’s great to know that we have such a strong team when it comes to our concierges. The hotel concierge position plays a vital role in the daily customer service operations of hotels and Kris should be proud of what he has achieved.”
