Birmingham's ICC to host Voice09

The International Conference Centre (ICC) in Birmingham is to play host to the fifth annual Voice conference, it has been reported.

The Voice conference, organised by the Social Enterprise Coalition (SEC), will take place at the ICC over February 10-11, 2009.

Over 80 exhibitors are expected at Voice09, bringing the total number of delegates to over 1,000 for the conference that brings together members of a growing industry that tackles social or environmental issues, while making a profit.

The industry is a growing one, and as such the conference at ICC will be crucial in forming new relationships between industry players.

So far there are workshops, key speakers, debates and networking opportunities planned for the annual conference, making the two-day event key for any social enterprise employee's calendar.

Jonathan Bland, chief executive of the SEC said: "This venue will give us the opportunity to take advantage of the huge interest there is already in Voice09."

"Birmingham is the youngest and one of the most diverse cities in Europe, and we are delighted Voice09 is being staged at the capital of the West Midlands region," added Mick Laverty, chief executive of Advantage West Midlands.
