In the vibrant and buzzing area of Bankside, Blue Fin Building is launching its new event space, Blue Fin Venue.

Designed by award-winning architect Allies & Morrisons, the building is clad in 2000 aluminium fins and has outstanding views across the Thames from the landscaped gardens and stunning event spaces on the 10th floor.

Jenny Noon Blue Fin Building Facilities Director said, "The building itself is out of the ordinary. The fins each have a metallic finish that changes the building's appearance from different viewpoints, exuding an eclectic and stylish vibe. In addition to the stunting landscaped gardens we have nine meeting rooms, a lecture theatre and a wine tasting room."

Jenny continues, "Our light and airy event spaces allow us to cater for any type of event from corporate training to private screenings and reception parties, and will bring flair to any event. A hub where many social, philanthropic and community initiatives were pioneered, Southwark is the perfect location to play host to corporate and consumer entertaining and the building perfectly complements its creative surroundings."

Commanding a prominent position on the Thames' South Bank, the Blue Fin Venue sits next to the Tate Modern with stunning views of the river, City and Docklands. Blue Fin Venue is only a cultured cobblestone's throw away from vivacious Borough Market, well serviced by underground, rail, river and bus services as well as being on the same street as a London cycle hire docking station.

Blue Fin Venue's meeting rooms, accommodating up to 40 people, are all fitted with high quality AV equipment and take in the city view. A lecture theatre for up to 96 guests is also available for hire, perfect for corporate training days, press conferences or screenings.

A double storey glass reception space, known as the Wintergarden, is ideal for Christmas functions, networking events or private parties. The reception area offers a contemporary space, overlooking the building's awe-inspiring atrium, tall enough to house Nelson's column.

The landscaped Roof Garden terrace can accommodate up to 250 people and provides a stunning backdrop for any summer party.

The Blue Sky Lounge can be transformed into a large event space overlooking St Paul's Cathedral and the Thames, hosting up to150 people.

Blue Fin Venue will be managed by Sodexo Prestige, who will work to provide an all inclusive event management service. Sodexo Prestige comes with the infrastructure, pedigree and resources to maximise the opportunities for IPC, ensuring a fully functioning operation from the outset.

Managing Director of Sodexo Prestige London, James Greetham, tells "We're excited to welcome Blue Fin Venue to our London portfolio. The venue's versatility and diversity will complement the vibrant London conference scene."

The Blue Fin Venue will be available for hire from 11th November 2010
