Chillisauce announces new celebrity Dragon's Den-inspired experience

Events agency Chillisauce has launched a Dragons’ Den-inspired teambuilding experience, which will see employees pitching to a panel of celebrity entrepreneurs including glamour model and TV star Katie Price, football mogul Karren Brady and chef Heston Blumenthal.

The brand new event will give corporate teams the chance to pitch their ideas to a VIP panel of business powerhouses, recreating the pressure cooker environment of ‘the Den’ as seen on the hit television series. The experience will take place in the original Dragons' Den venue in Hackney, South London and will see employees spending the day coming up with ideas on how to improve their company, before presenting them to the celebrity dragons alongside their own company directors and bosses.

Working together teams must plan, design and build a new product for a specific industry within an allocated budget and time period. Excellent team work is crucial in order to complete all tasks and make it to the pitch, where the Dragons will invest in the best pitch and business idea. An instructor will be allocated to each team, who'll help with generating ideas and give tips about how best to utilise the budget and win over the Dragons!

Other leading entrepreneurs who will be available to sit on the panel of Dragons include Queen of Shops Mary Portas, Dragons’ Den graduate and Reggae Reggae Sauce creator Levi Roots, Lastminute.com founder Martha Lane-Fox, Wahaca CEO Thomasina Miers, Innocent Drinks’ Richard Reed and even Chillisauce’s CEO James Baddiley, who has taken the company from bedroom startup to 100 people in 10 years.

Michael Chidzey, Head of Digital Marketing & PR at Chillisauce, said: “This team building event will be the toughest yet – absolutely terrifying. We’ve sourced an incredible lineup of global business personalities and emerging entrepreneurs to choose from.

“The purpose of the event is to inspire staff, get them working together and create something that will be remembered forever, making your staff want to work for you for the rest of the year. Den of Dragons fosters an entrepreneurial environment offering the opportunity to stimulate employees, encourage creativity and strategic thinking, while testing presentation skills with the added benefit of generating ideas to improve your business from the people that know it best.

“Our mission has always been the same – to be more interesting, more creative, more resourceful and less predictable in everything we do. We achieve this by organising events that we want to attend ourselves,” Michael added.

Chillisauce will also develop a mentoring programme after each event to help winning teams put their ideas into action.

The Den of Dragons experience will be available from the beginning of October 2013. Each event is bespoke and crafted to suit the companies taking part, but prices typically start from £350 per person and it is suitable for 25 to 120 participants. Event costs vary depending on requirements and enhancements, but lookalikes can be organised for reduced costs.
