Confex Announces Association Day

International Confex has unveiled ‘Association Day’ an educational conference aimed specifically at buyers and planners of association run events. Combining practical workshops with inspiring speakers, the programme will allow delegates to pick and choose sessions they feel most relevant.

The conference is packed with rich and relevant content, including over 22 practical workshops addressing subjects ranging from employment law, VAT, procurement, the Bribery Act, subvention, and a special session on the pharmaceutical market.

There will also be an insightful session on how to work more productively with government by Lord Tom King and a keynote from Lucian Tarnowski on building on line communities.

There has already been an overwhelming response to the programme from organisers as well as exhibitors who see the conference as vital in ensuring strong attendance at the show from the association market. Associations already signed up to the conference include the Medical Protection Society, British Medical Association, Biochemical Association, Hire Trade Alliance Ltd, British Hypertension Society and the Management Consultancies Society.

“The programme lined up for the 2012 (Association Day) event is looking brilliant, with lots of really interesting sessions and workshops taking place,” commented Lorraine Reese, Head of Business & Events, Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. “The tailored educational content is a big plus for me and I’m particularly interested in attending the ‘Decision making in Westminster and Whitehall’ session.”

"We have already confirmed meeting requests through the Confex loyalty programme and through our sponsorship of the Association Day, we will be hosting a table at the luncheon for association executives which has already been well received,' commented Helen Chan, Manager - Conventions, Exhibitions and Corperate Events, Meetings & Exhibitions Hong Kong

“The association market continues to be a critical sector to the UK events industry and we’re delighted with the quality of content on show during Association Day,” comments Jonny Sullens, Portfolio Director, Confex Group. “Visitors to Confex come for two reasons; great education and great exhibitors, association planners will have both in abundance this year.”
