Fine dining on offer at the 2011 Open Championship

For the first time in eight years, The Open Championship is coming to the Kent course of Royal St George’s, just a short distance from London. From Thursday 14 July to Sunday 17 July 2011, the world’s greatest golfers will battle for the coveted Claret Jug at this historic venue. In what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the sporting calendar, current Champion, Louis Oosthuizen, who was victorious at St Andrews in July, will have to fend off the likes of Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington if he is to retain his Open title.

Two packages, guaranteed to make The Open a truly special occasion are on offer to fulfill the needs of both you and your guests. The Hospitality Village is a short walk to the 18th green and the first tee, and will have private gardens, a large reception area and a business centre.

Only with The Open Championship Official Hospitality can you indulge in fine dining with the luxurious Clubhouse Package at the Hospitality Village, hosted in a specially designed, intimate club-style facility. Follow your favourite player, then retire to the comfort and sanctuary of our Clubhouse, with informal areas for eating and relaxing throughout the day. Prices for this exclusive package start from £460.00 per person.

Alternatively, try The Open Guest Package with prices starting from £375.00 per person. You can choose to enjoy The Open Championship in one of our restaurants or in the privacy of your own chalet if you prefer something more exclusive. They are available for parties of 30 to 50 guests. Whichever your choice you will have a day to remember.

With direct access to the golf course, The Open Official Hospitality offers the perfect setting for your day at The Open. Hosted by the professional events team, you will be close to the action. The packages include entrance tickets and full- day hospitality, variable dependent on the chosen package (guests will be unable to leave the grounds and re-enter).

David Hill, The R&A’s Director of Championships, comments: “In 2011 at Royal St George’s, there is a range of hospitality options designed with one thing in mind: enhancing your day at one of the worlds’ greatest sporting events. No matter which package you choose, the dedicated hospitality team will be on hand throughout your day to help you relax and recharge before you head back onto the links to watch golf’s best players tackle one of Briatin’s most challenging courses.”

Dining throughout the day will be of the highest calibre, with the very best locally-sourced fare being used to complete a menu that celebrates traditional British food with a contemporary twist. English ingredients will be freshly prepared on site and available throughout the day – breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are all provided as part of these packages.
