More companies are opting for Arena Leisure's corporate hospitality offers at its racecourse venues, the company has said.
The firm, which operates racecourses in Doncaster, Folkestone, Lingfield Park, Royal Windsor, Southwell, Worcester and Wolverhampton, said it had seen a 13 per cent increase in corporate hospitality visitors during the first half of the year.
Profits before interest and tax had increased by 25 per cent to £2 million over the period, while the average attendance was up by three per cent.
Chairman David Thorpe said: "Arena has delivered improved operational performance with average attendance at our racecourses increasing year-on-year and there are initial signs that corporate hospitality business is beginning to pick up."
"Trading at the Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club since its May opening is in line with our expectations and development plans at Folkestone continued in progress."
Arena's Folkestone venue will host a fixture on August 5th, while a meet will take place at its Worcester venue on the 6th.
