Stoke Mandeville Stadium host Meet the Manager Day to welcome new Manager

Users and members of Stoke Mandeville Stadium are being encouraged to head down to the Stadium to attend a Meet the Manager Day on Wednesday 20th February.

This event is hot on the heels of the appointment of James Naylor as Contract Manager. James’s new role will see him oversee the management of the Stadium, supporting staff teams and liaising with customers to ensure the continued success of the venues within the local communities.

With over 25 years experience in the leisure industry, James is sure to bring a wealth of knowledge to the Stoke Mandeville Stadium team. Having recently completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge James actively raises money for charity and is soon going to attempt to kayak the perimeter of Lake Windermere; all 22 miles in one session.

Newly appointed Contract Manager, James Naylor, said: “I am really excited about my new role as Contract Manager here at Stoke Mandeville Stadium and I’m very much looking forward to getting to know our customer base and working with the team to offer a first class local service to the local people.

Martin McElhatton, Chief Executive of WheelPower, commented: “We are delighted that James will be leading the Stoke Mandeville Stadium team during this very exciting time for disability sport. The Stadium has a key role to play in helping to deliver the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and providing opportunities for disabled people to play sport and lead fit and active lives.“

To mark James’s appointment the Stadium will be holding a ‘Meet the Manager’ day at 5.30 – 7.00pm. James will be on hand throughout the day to chat to users and get feedback about the facilities.
