Victoria Warehouse announce new appointments

Victoria Warehouse in ManchesterVictoria Warehouse, an innovative and unique event venue in Manchester, has announced the appointment of three new members of staff to the events team.

Daniel Thorpe, former Manchester United conference and events manager, has been appointed as venue operations manager for this impressive venue. He has ten years' experience in the industry having worked for caterers, hotels and sports venues.

Jennifer Panton and Kayleigh Brindle both join as sales managers; Panton from De Vere Hotels and Brindle from Rocco Forte Hotels. They will be responsible for managing the growing number of corporate enquiries and seeking new business for the old industrial building turned events space.

The new members of staff will work alongside Faye Millar, who set up the corporate sales function three years ago.

Victoria Warehouse, built in the 1900s and used to store cotton, has a 5,000+ capacity event space split over three rooms. The building retains the stripped back, industrial aesthetic of Manchester’s manufacturing past, making for a unique and adaptable event space. They have hosted a number of top brands, including GAP, Audi, Jeep, New Look, BBC 6 Music, Vevo and Thomas Cook.

Daniel Thorpe commented on his new role: "I’m thrilled to join Victoria Warehouse and be a part of the company’s exciting future. With the scale of events and expansion of the site as it breaks into the corporate market, it’s a fantastic time to be joining the team."

James Cohen, owner of Victoria Warehouse, added: "The expansion of our team is representative of our significant success in 2014 and will better prepare us for the year ahead. Both Kayleigh and Jen are well versed in corporate events, and come with an integral understanding of the industry, which I am confident will prove invaluable."
