Williams and Matthews lead a winning team to International Confex

Staffordshire's profile as one of the leading conference and meeting venues in the UK is to be given a further boost with its first-ever appearance at International Confex, in London, between March 6th and 8th.

The Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau represents more than 40 venues and services in a part of Britain it likes to promote as “The Ideal Location”.

Three of them – Keele Conference & Events, Yarnfield Park Training & Conference Centre, and The Britannia Stadium (home of Premier League football club, Stoke City) – will be joining the Bureau on stand number B421 at ExCel on March 6th-8th.

The Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau’s presence at International Confex will also draw on two of the most famous names from this part of the UK: Williams and Matthews. That’s Bureau Manager, Claire Williams; and her assistant, Sarah Matthews (as opposed to one of the world’s most famous singers, Robbie, and the first knight of football, Sir Stanley).

Fittingly, the overall theme for their presence at Confex will be “Let Us Entertain You”. And there will be plenty of examples on the stand of how Staffordshire can entertain delegates who visit the county for meetings, exhibitions, events and conferences.

Better news still, perhaps, for anyone visiting Confex in search of “Special Show Deals”, the Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau will be celebrating what promises to be a very special year in the UK with a “20.12” offer.

Anyone who books an event at Yarnfield Park Training & Conference Centre, The Britannia Stadium or at Keele Conference & Events during Confex will be able to claim two free places for every 20 delegates booked; and one free place for every 12 delegates booked.

The Bureau has added several other new members to its impressive portfolio of properties in recent years, including Hoar Cross Hall, and Moddersall Oaks – two of the most luxurious and relaxing spa complexes in the Heart of England, the National Brewery Centre at Burton upon Trent and, the support services of Moorcroft Pottery and The Trentham Estate.

Minister for Tourism, John Penrose MP, will be attending the 2012 International Confex opening day, on March 6th. He will take part in a networking event before touring the exhibition to gain further insight into the UK events industry.
