Brighton Dome unveils refurbished bar

VisitBrighton convention bureau member, Brighton Dome, has recently completed a £200,000 refurbishment of its foyer and mezzanine bar. Improving facilities for customers and staff alike, the revamped space is offered for private event hire.

Handled by bar design specialists Cantilever, the new bar is state of the art and provides better accessibility and more efficient service for customers. Hosting up to 800, the Foyer Bar offers a naturally bright, modern space to host informal meetings, drinks receptions, networking functions and presentations. Open to the public six days a week; by day it’s flooded with natural daylight and by evening can be lit up using coloured lights allowing organisers to create an atmosphere tailored to their event.

Dean Clynshaw, food and beverage manager at Brighton Dome said of the refurbishment: “Streamlined and neat, the new design and layout means we are more customer facing and able to give visitors a much more efficient and better experience. It has transformed the way we work and customers are served quicker than before meaning that their time is better spent networking during breaks than queuing between conference sessions.”

Darren Johnson, VisitBrighton convention bureau sales manager commented: “Brighton Dome is one of Brighton’s most adaptable and historic venues and the refurbishment really adds to the facilities and level of service the venue offers. With continued investment programmes like this, Brighton and its venues are greatly enhancing the event organiser and delegate experience.”

With five historic spaces under one roof - the Dome Concert Hall, the Corn Exchange, Foyer Bar, Founders Room  and the Pavilion Theatre - Brighton Dome is one of the most versatile and stylish venues in the South. Built for the Prince of Wales (who became George IV) and steeped in Regency history, Brighton Dome combines state-of-the-art facilities and unrivalled in-house expertise with Grade 1 listed heritage. Able to cater for intimate meetings and events of between 10 - 80 people, the venue can also accommodate larger conference and events of up to 1742 people.
