Brighton venues get new addition

A new event venue has been unveiled by the University of Sussex in time for the summer-hire period.

The Fulton Building joins already established Brighton venues, such as the Brighton Dome, which hosts conferences and events, as well as plays and musical shows.

Visit Brighton convention bureau sales manager Darren Johnson noted: "The Fulton Building represents just one of many city-wide initiatives and investments designed to enhance our destination product and embody our city's green stance."

It features two 160-seat lecture theatres and 26 seminar rooms, spread over 3,000 sq m.

The event venue also includes a natural ventilation system has been installed to give the building a low carbon footprint, while the car park has been replaced by a grass courtyard.

Last month, it was reported that Brighton venue the Freebutt could be forced to close if council officials make it play music at a lower level.ADNFCR-1752-ID-19887908-ADNFCR
