Visit Chester and Cheshire is to launch a new welcome pack for delegates visiting the area for conferences and events.
The pack is due to be unveiled in March with the aim of providing useful information and advice for delegates, as well as promoting Cheshire venues to them.
It is hoped that the set of documents, which will include a waterproof map of the city, a feedback questionnaire, a bookmark and a postcard featuring key local destinations, will help entice people back to the area.
"We're positive that they will not only add to the overall experience of being a Cheshire delegate, but also have a great impact in promoting the wider destination," said Chris Brown, chief executive of Visit Chester and Cheshire.
Sanguine Hospitality Management recently confirmed that it is looking to build a new conference centre and theatre in Chester.
Talks are already underway to bring the project to fruition and "positive developments" are being made, according to the company.
