Conference guide promotes West Oxfordshire venue options

A new conference guide has been published to promote venues in the West Oxfordshire region and help the sector compete in the national industry, reports oxfordtimes.co.uk.

A team of financial advisers within West Oxfordshire District Council worked to produce the guide which is available on the internet for prospective businesses. The guide lists more than 30 venues across the county, offering photos and written details of places to appeal to all sizes of business, from small meetings and workshops up to major corporate events for 500 delegates.

Councillor Warwick Robinson, cabinet member for economic development, told the website: "The guide highlights the excellent facilities we have in the district, and I am sure it will help businesses find the best local venue for their needs."

Oxfordshire is seeking to make a real impression within the national conference industry and intends to compete with London venues and Birmingham venues, among others, to boost its local economy.

The Oxford Mail recently reported that Oxfordshire County Council is considering a controversial application to construct an energy-producing waste incinerator near Bicester.
