Congress Centre notches up five-star rating for hygiene

Following a recent inspection by Camden Council, Congress Centre has become one of only three "conference venues":http://www.venues.org.uk/searches/conference_venues.asp in central London to receive a five-star rating for hygiene. The award was issued in conjunction with the Food Standards Agency and covers the following areas: food hygiene and safety procedures; structural conditions; cleanliness; and management confidence in all food hygiene legislation.

Last year Congress Centre was awarded four stars and since then the whole team has worked hard to ensure that the venue’s HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points) were managed appropriately, ensuring all food deliveries, storage and cooking procedures were followed and recorded in the correct manner in order to achieve the maximum rating.

Robert Girvan, centre director, said: “We’re all delighted that the venue has achieved a five-star rating in this area. The award reflects my team’s commitment to doing things properly and ensuring all clients receive the highest standard of food and service possible.”
