Dolce Hotels to bring new venues to the UK?

International conference and business hospitality group Dolce Hotels and Resorts could be bringing new venues to the UK, according to a source.

Conference and Incentive Travel reports that the company is close to signing a deal to open a new hotel in the UK to add to its six in Europe and 17 in North America.

Dolce has not said where or when the new venue would be launched, but confirmed that proposals are being considered.

"We have a project in the pipeline but nothing is signed yet," marketing and public relations director for Europe Xavier Louyot told the news provider.

The group used to have a hotel in UK, the Dolce Norton Manor in Hampshire, but sold it in 2005.

In related news, the Conservative Party has called for the government to support expansion of London venues.

It has set up a tourism taskforce to urge more investment in London venues, recommending that an international convention centre is built in the city.
