ExCeL London aims for better catering

Creativevents has been brought in by London Docklands venue ExCeL to improve the variety, quality and value of its food and drink offering to visitors.

The company will be responsible for running two of ExCeL’s Boulevard sites, a new Boulevard Bar, three Gallery Bistro Bars, the on-floor food court and bistro/restaurant operations, as well as the stand catering operation.

The new retail units to be operated by Creativevents include Square Pie, Crunch & Squeeze – a new salad and juice bar brand and West Quay – and a new Boulevard Bar selling beers, wines, champagne and premium bistro snacks.

Steve Melrose, services director at ExCeL London commented: “We continually try to improve our food and beverage offering for our customers in order to provide a good variety and high-quality service that suits everyone’s taste and budget.

“Our new partnership with Creativevents means that we can offer our clients and exhibitors more diversity at competitive prices that meets their ever-changing needs. Creativevents has a great reputation within the industry and we believe that they will take our stand catering and retail service offering up to the next level.”

Creativevents will commence trading with immediate effect with the stand catering operation. Square Pie, West Quay and Crunch & Squeeze will all be open by 11 September.
